The warm spring breeze of March has brought joyful news.
What does graduation mean? Going their separate ways? Seeking their own paths?
For An Jingke, Wang Jiahao, Chen Yun, Wang Jinghao, and Fan Zhangpan—the five students in today’s story—graduation means a change from sharing the same classrooms and labs to staying at the same office. Three years ago, they were fellow students at the University of Sanya; a year later, they became colleagues at Geely Research Institute.
Bringing classrooms to production lines: making growth “visible”
When An Jingke first stepped into Geely Research Institute, the theoretical knowledge from his textbooks suddenly came alive as he faced a real-world intelligent agent development platform. He had learned the logical framework of product planning in the AI-structured reform classes at the university, but only when faced with actual user needs did he realize that “What is learned from books is superficial; it’s only through practice that knowledge is deeply understood.”
Fortunately, the University of Sanya had long integrated real corporate projects into its classrooms. The product plans refined late into the night, the repeatedly scrutinized requirement analyses—all proved invaluable during his internship at Geely. Now responsible for the optimization and upgrade of the Xingrui Intelligent Agent Platform, his transformation from passively completing assignments to actively creating value took 11 months, but it was during this time that he truly grasped the weight of the title "Product Manager."

Wang Jiahao, An Jingke’s classmates, also underwent a remarkable transformation. Initially tasked with basic data analysis, he gradually learned to think from a business perspective under the guidance of dual mentors from both the university and the enterprise. Fragmented data turned into tools driving decision-making in his hands, and repetitive tasks were refined into reusable methodologies. "It turns out data isn’t cold numbers, but stories that speak," he said, his eyes lighting up as he spoke.

Predicting who you will grow to be through real-world projects
Chen Yun chose a more cutting-edge path—embodied intelligence.

At Geely, he is responsible for the overall planning of the data collection platform, a crucial link connecting the physical world and the intelligent brain. Transitioning from theoretical learning in the classroom to hands-on projects in the corporate environment, he has used his expertise to build a data bridge and perseverance to forge a path for growth. “I want machines to truly understand the world,” Chen Yun said, a dream nurtured on campus now taking root and growing at Geely’s platform.
Wang Jinghao’s growth is reflected in the details of his work. He remembers the nervousness of his first project delivery, the warm coffee offered by a colleague during an overtime session, and the heartwarming moment at the Family Day event that made him feel instantly integrated. “An enterprise isn’t just a workplace; it’s a big family where youth can thrive,” Wang Jinghao realized.

Fan Zhangpan described his internship as “gnawing through hard bones.” Faced with numerous challenges in domain controller platform development, he painstakingly worked through the development specifications and gradually built the business logic step by step. What school taught me wasn’t just knowledge, but the ability to solve problems." Now capable of handling tasks independently, he continues to shine in his technical role.

"Let ability be seen"
The stories of these five young people are examples of the genuine growth happening daily on the USY campus.
At the University of Sanya, Geely’s R&D track is directly integrated into classrooms, turning real corporate needs into student assignments. Every student is nurtured on the fertile ground of Geely Education, growing into a talent welcomed by society.
At the University of Sanya, the projects you’ve completed are the best resume you can have. At the University of Sanya, your ability is the measure of your value upon graduation. Such stories continue to unfold, and more students’ dreams are quietly taking shape on this fertile campus—they will surely find ways to make their abilities “seen.”
This “zero-distance” targeted training ensures that upon graduation, students are no longer “newbie” but capable participants ready to take on responsibilities. Equipped with projects polished in classrooms, challenges overcome in laboratories, and experience accumulated from real-world projects, they stride confidently toward broader horizons. This is the most touching interpretation of “Entering the university is to be better prepared for society.”
