How should talents be cultivated to meet future industrial needs in the AI era? On March 12, Geely Holding Group and Xinwei AI jointly announced the launch of the "Trans-Era Leap Talent Development Program", a targeted initiative to develop high school graduates with exceptional talents and lofty aspirations, shaping them into future-ready, cross-era leaders who will thrive alongside AI. Selected participants will be mentored by CEOs and leading scientific researchers from technology enterprises under Geely Holding Group. Leveraging Geely's industrial expertise and the "Three Campuses" educational ecosystem within real-world industry settings, they will learn and grow in four frontier fields: new energy, artificial intelligence, low-altitude flight, and low-orbit satellites.

During the briefing, Li Shufu, Chairman of Geely Holding Group, said: " In the era of artificial intelligence, the demand for talents and the supply from higher education are unbalanced, creating a 'scissor gap' between the competency structure of the graduates and enterprises’ talent needs. This is an contemporary challenge facing higher education worldwide."

In response to the educational transformation arising in the AI era, enterprises are closest to the "frontlines" of economic competition and industrial evolution, and best understand what kind of talents will be needed in the near future. To this end, Geely Talent Development Group and Xinwei AI have responded proactively, translating industrial insights into systematic talent cultivation initiatives which resulted in an innovative training model "the Artificial Intelligence Era and the Three Campuses Combination ":
Trans-boundary Campus: seamlessly connecting teaching scenarios with work scenarios;
Trans-regional Campus: integrating global educational resources to broaden international perspectives;
Trans-platform Campus: realizing the integration of online and offline learning through Xinwei AI platform.
Li Shufu emphasized: "Having run educational institutions for nearly 30 years, Geely has always believed that entering campus is not for a diploma alone, but for better prepared for the society. The talent development model Geely pursues is not 'one size fits all', but individualized development, aligning the talents and passions of young people with industrial demands."
Lu Dan, CEO of Geely Talent Development Group and Chairman & President of Xinwei AI, detailed the recruitment and training program. He stated that Geely’s Trans-Era Leap Talent Development Program is not traditional "student enrollment", but a "talent discovery" initiative for high school graduates. It focuses on identifying "exceptional talents" with extreme passion and outstanding potential in specific fields—individuals "with spark in their eyes". Through a scientific evaluation system, it selects candidates with lofty dreams, sound judgment, strong willpower, critical thinking and creative potential.
Admitted students will directly enter relevant positions in Geely’s four core businesses: new energy, artificial intelligence, low-altitude flight and low-orbit satellites. They will be supported by a three-pronged mentorship system: "Corporate + Academic + AI.". CEOs and leading researchers of business divisions will impart strategic vision and practical experience; dedicated teams of doctors and professors will provide academic training and degree coursework; and AI mentor agents from Xinwei AI will offer 24/7 online learning support. This ensures students obtain academic qualifications while building the ability to solve real-world problems. Competitive salaries and full annual scholarships will also be provided to support their learning and growth.

This courage to pioneer educational innovation stems from Geely's deep-rooted commitment to non-profit education for three decades, with investments exceeding ten billion yuan. Since its inception in 1997, Geely has cultivated nearly 300,000 graduates, successfully establishing a multi-level professional talent development pipeline spanning secondary and higher vocational education, application-oriented undergraduate education, and professional postgraduate education. Recently, it was also approved to independently recruit postdoctoral researchers, marking a significant step forward in building a national-level platform for cultivating high-level innovative young talents.

Amid the wave of the artificial intelligence era, Geely extends a sincere invitation to ambitious young people worldwide: Geely will fully open up its industrial and educational resources, adopt an industry-education integrated innovative training model, provide real industrial scenarios and cutting-edge technology practice platforms, and explore the boundless possibilities of a new future together with young talents.
