University of Sanya, founded in 2005 and located in Sanya City, Hainan Province, is funded and established by Geely Holding Group, a Fortune Global 500 company. It stands as a top-ranked private comprehensive university in China. The university offers undergraduate and master's degree programs. The campus covers a total area of 3,000 mu, featuring picturesque surroundings and convenient living conditions.Since 2011, the university has been admitting international students, offering undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs as well as Chinese language training.

The Chinese Language Program for International Students
The Chinese Language Program is a non-degree program designed for foreigners who are interested in Chinese language and culture, and/or wish to enhance their Chinese proficiency for the purpose of study or work. Organized and taught by the School of Humanities and Communication at University of Sanya, the program focuses on comprehensive training in listening, speaking, reading, and writing to help students improve their Chinese language skills. Upon completion, participants will receive a program certificate.
The program is also open to prospective undergraduate or postgraduate applicants whose current Chinese proficiency does not meet the academic requirements for their intended degree programs at our university.

2. Application Procedure andDeadline
The applicants should send their application to the International Department at University of Sanya before January 5th 2026 for Spring Term or May 15th, 2026 for Fall term. Application and registration information can be emailed to: guojichu@sanyau.edu.cn
3. Qualifications
3.1 Applicants must be non-Chinese nationals, over the age of 16 and in goodhealth.
3.2 Applicants shall be interested in Chinese language, respect Chinese culture and abide by Chineselaws.
3.3 Applicants must not be currently studying at any university inChina.
4. ApplicationMaterials
The applicants must fill in and provide the following materials truly and correctly.
4.1 Copy of valid passport. A clearly visible copy of your valid passport with name, photo, birth date, place of birth, date of issue and date of expiry.
4.2 Applicants aged 16 or above but under 18 shall provide guardianship documents for their stay in China: a guardianship certificate signed by the applicant, the applicant’s parents, and the designated guardian in China, as well as a copy of the identity document of the guardian in China. The guardian may be a Chinese citizen designated by the applicant’s parents or a foreigner with a long term residence permit in China.
4.3 Digital ID photo with a white background, in a JPG format.
4.4 Notarized highest diploma and score records. If applicants are university students or already employed, they should also provide documents of student certificate or certificate of employment. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.
4.5 Original document or photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form (must be issued by Chinese quarantine authority) received within 6 months.(The medical examination must be performed and completed by a physician at a locally accredited hospital. Personal completion by the applicant is prohibited.) The certificate is valid for 6 months.
4.6 Non-criminal record. Documents in languages other than Chinese or English must be attached with notarized translations in Chinese or English.The certificate is valid for 6 months.
4.7 Application form for international students.

4.9 Student commitment letter.
5. Tuition and Fees

6.2 The applicants will bring the documents to apply for a visa and confirm the registration time upon receiving the email (admission letter and JW202) from the International Department.
Registration
Internationalstudents shall register at University of Sanya in accordance with the stipulated dates by late February or early September 2026. Those unable to arrive on time due to exceptional circumstances should directly notify the International Department to request a leave of absence. Students who fail to report within two weeks after the deadline without prior approval from the university will be considered as having voluntarily forfeited their admission.
