Geely New Energy and Intelligent Automobile Industrial School is inaugurated at University of Sanya

On November 15th, Geely New Energy and Intelligent Automobile Industrial School, jointly established by University of Sanya (USY) and VIRIDI E-MOBILITY Technology (Ningbo) Co., Ltd.(VREMT), was inaugurated at USY, Sanya, Hainan. In June this year, Geely Talent Development Group signed a cooperation agreement with VREMT (Ningbo), and launched the pilot program at USY. In August, USY and VREMT (Ningbo) agreed on co-establishment of an industrial school, business training and technical services and other programs, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the establishment of industrial school. By integrating the driving force of the automobile industry with the strength of talent cultivation at university and support the multi-level and all-round strategic cooperation in the field of electric vehicles, the Geely New Energy and Intelligent Automobile Industrial School will become a showcase for industry- higher education institution integration.

Xie Shibin, vice president of Zeekr Technology Limited and general manager of VREMT (Ningbo), Li Changluo, director of the New Energy Development Center of Zeekr, Shi Junping, dean of Department of Advanced Studies, Zhejiang Automobile Engineer Institute, Sui Shanshan, vice president of Geely Talent Development Group, Liu Kainan, executive president of USY, Yang Tao, director of Technology Faculty, and others attended the ceremony, which was presided by Wang Dan, vice president of USY. 


Founded in 2013, VREMT (Ningbo) is a new energy high-tech company specialized in research, production, sale and after-sales service of new energy auto power battery, electric generator and control systems, battery charge system, and battery storage system. It has more than 400 patents with independent property rights. The cooperation with USY to jointly construct Geely New Energy and Intelligent Automobile Industrial School is an important strategic action of cultivating talents in the three areas, that is, electric generator, battery and electric control. The curricula fitting the orientation of talent cultivation will be jointly made based on the real work scenarios of research, development, design, production, testing and experiment happening at VREMT with the support of the majors in vehicle engineering, electronic information engineering, and measurement and control technology and instrument. Modularized courses will be developed. Some part of software and hardware environment provided by VREMT will be docked with university teaching environment. With these methods, conduction of teaching will be synchronized with industry and enterprise. and the link of education will be connected to the link of talents.
