Teachers and Students From the School of Media and Cultural Industry Won the Prize in Global Finals of Times Young Creative Awards

Recently, the global finals the 29th Times Young Creative Awards "Magic and Beautiful Xishuangbanna City Image Design Award" was successfully held and have attracted a total of 2840 entries from four regions of cross-straits.


Directed by Zheng Dan, a teacher from the School of Media and Cultural Industry, student Cui Chenxiao's work "Ten generations of Core and take one step ahead" won the silver award. It also marks the re-promotion of the award level of advertising students outside the mainland competition area.


It is reported that the Times Young Creative Awards is a public welfare platform for the global Chinese college students' creative competition, and it is especially famous for its rigorous attitude and professional authority. it is praised by the industry as the Oscar of the youth creative, and it is also the youth creative award with the longest history in the Chinese community.

Cui Chenxiao introduced that the work is presented by a simple animation method, which can not only see the traces of the classic movie "The Matrix 1", but also combine the elements of western cowboy, using a form of banter and rebellion to reproduce the classic scene, thus producing a funny conflict, but can leave a deep impression in the mind.



Zheng Dan, the instructor, said that though there is room for improvement in technique, the creative idea is unique."If winning a prize is a combination of strength and luck, it should be 99 % preparation and 1% luck."This time, The School of Media and Cultural Industry participated in the mainland division with a total of 106 works shortlisted. It is the best proof of students' strength that they can enter the global evaluation and compete with universities in Hong Kong, Macao as well as Taiwan, and finally won the prize.
